We consistently pursue the following diversity goals at msg, both internally and externally. Because we always focus on people and all their facets.

Gender equality & LGBTIQ+

We, the msg Plaut, always use a gender-neutral language style in our internal and external communication that addresses all genders equally and is therefore inclusive.
In practice, we use gender-neutral formulations such as participle forms, alternative, gender-neutral terms and dual designations.

Many of our employee benefits contribute directly to the area of gender equality. Flexible working hours and extensive opportunities for mobile work and home office already contribute significantly to a better work-life balance and give employees room to maneuver, for example, in care work.

msg Plaut proudly supports diversity and inclusion as a sponsoring member of WOMENinICT, the dedicated special interest group of the Austrian Software Industry Association (VÖSI). By actively promoting women in technology, we help shape a more inclusive and innovative tech community.

CHRIS is our internal mentoring program designed to strengthen and support women within msg Plaut, helping them grow their digital skills, confidence, and career potential. Through knowledge transfer and guidance from experienced female mentors, CHRIS provides coaching, advice, and practical support for navigating challenges in the male-dominated IT industry. Named after Christine Lagarde, the first female President of the ECB and one of Europe’s most powerful women, the program inspires participants to achieve what may seem impossible. CHRIS welcomes new hires, associates, and any women eager to thrive and excel in tech.

In 2024, we proudly participated in Vienna’s “Daughters’ Day”, inspiring girls to explore careers in technology and engineering. We also took part in DIE IT Tag, where our female colleagues from various technical departments visited schools to introduce students to STEM subjects (MINT) and make these exciting fields more accessible and engaging.

The Code of Conduct is our code of behavior at msg Plaut. It offers us all clear orientation for our daily work by containing our msg values, as well as specific guidelines and rules of behavior for daily practice. It also contributes directly to versatile and open cooperation in the entire msg group and thus to a holistic, practiced concept of diversity.

Our Progress – And Our Ambition

We have already achieved above-industry-average representation of women across key areas:

  • 88% in Public Sales

  • 38% in Project Management

  • 25% in Software Development & Test Management

But we’re not stopping here. Our goal is clear: to achieve at least 50% representation across all areas of our company.
